Luc Novovitch

Luc Novovitch moved to far West Texas in 1998, leaving Washington, DC, after four years as a contract photographer for Reuters. He moved to New York in 1988, leaving Paris where he was a staff photographer for Reuters, frequently covering events in West Africa and Sub-Sahara countries. In New York he joined Gamma Agency before moving to DC in 1994. Novovitch was born in Casablanca, Morocco. When his family moved to Switzerland, he was sent to boarding school in Savoy, France. After a Baccalaureat de Philosophie, he went on to Lyon University where he studied Law and Political Science. He then started to work as an independent news photographer, before joining Agence France Presse. in Lyon, as a staffer. Since moving to West Texas, he is mostly working on long term projects and documentaries – with the occasional illustration or travel photography distributed through agencies.
